Acid Water Problems



Acidic Water Water that scale lower than 7 in pH scale are acidic in nature. Water become acidic due to dissolved carbondioxide in it, but sometimes also from mineral acid which may occur naturally or from mining activities. Industrial waste can also cause low pH in water and turning it acidic. Over time Acidic water can cause damage to our health. Acidic water is contaminated by the plumbimg metals commonly lead and copper, overexposure of Lead to human system can cause reproductive and neurological problems,regular ingestion of copper can also effect your Gastrointestinal system long term exposure can damage kidney and liver, eye and skin iritation are few other problems to mention. Acidic water causes corrosion and exposure to zinc from corroded pipes can cause problems like Diarrhea and nausea. Other than the above mentioned problem acidic nature in water has adverse effect on its taste, odor and looks.
pH of drinking water should be between 6.5 to 8.5 this is the standard set by BIS and 6.5 to 9.5 by WHO.
